Rolando Isse González was born in 1984, in Havana, Cuba; within a society overwhelmed by politics and lack of freedom, circumstances that would mark his work and thought. At an early age he discovered drawing and through it, art, being fascinated by the expressive possibilities it offers. Art became his refuge, creating his universe, beautifying his imagination and environment. The apocalyptic habitat sharpened his observation, entering the path of the search for the beautiful and ethical, avoiding the reality that makes everyday life hard. Despite the material shortages, he cultivated his work and refined his technique, both through personal learning and in community workshops and houses of cultures. Life in Cuba formed him in a violent way, experiencing moments that only occur in societies gnawed by totalitarian ideologies. Although his career was interrupted on several occasions by unavoidable issues in Cuba, such as boarding schools and mandatory military service, he never disassociated himself from art. He ventured into other activities, such as sports and dance, but always returning to the visual arts, his great love. He studied ceramics in an informative way and worked as an assistant in serigraphy and later as a lithographer, looking for any excuse to create. He was formed in his adolescence in the heat of old books that could be obtained very rarely, where Velázques and Rembrandt appeared, great Olmec sculptures and almost all the beauty that frames the history of art. Due to his political thinking and disagreement with the Cuban government he decided not to join art schools or government institutions in Cuba having a mostly „self-taught“training. For these reasons and the lack of economic possibilities for those who do not sympathize with the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), he decides and manages to emigrate to Germany in 2014, where he lives and has resumed his trade, creating constantly, now more than before. Thanks to the longed-for freedom, which he has been, his model and muse.

Rolando Isse González wurde 1984 in Havanna, Kuba, geboren; in einer von Politik und Unfreiheit überwältigten Gesellschaft. Diese Umstände prägten sein Schaffen und Denken. Schon früh entdeckte er das Zeichnen und damit die Kunst und war fasziniert von deren Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten. Die Kunst wurde sein Zufluchtsort, erschuf sein Universum, verschönerte seine Vorstellungskraft und sein Umfeld. Der apokalyptische Lebensraum schärfte seine Beobachtung, betrat den Weg der Suche nach dem Schönen und Ethischen und vermied die Realität, die seinen Alltag schwer machte. Trotz der Knappheit an Material kultivierte er seine Arbeit und verfeinerte seine Technik, sowohl durch individuelles Lernen als auch in Gemeinschaftswerkstätten und Häusern der Kulturen. Das Leben in Kuba hat ihn auf Weise geprägt und er erlebte gewalttätige Momente, wie sie nur in von totalitären Ideologien zerfressenen Gesellschaften vorkommen. Obwohl seine Karriere mehrmals durch Probleme in Kuba wie Internate und Wehrpflicht unterbrochen wurde, hat er sich nie von der Kunst distanziert. Er wagte sich an andere Aktivitäten wie Sport und Tanz, kehrte aber immer wieder zur bildenden Kunst zurück, seiner großen Liebe. Er studierte Keramik auf informative Weise und arbeitete als Assistent in der Serigraphie und später als Lithografen, auf der Suche nach einem Vorwand zum Schaffen. Er wurde in seiner Jugend in der Hitze alter Bücher seine Technik erwirken, die sehr selten zu bekommen waren, wo Velázques und Rembrandt auftauchten, große Skulpturen der Olmeken und fast all die Schönheit, die die Kunstgeschichte umrahmt. Aufgrund seines politischen Denkens und seiner Meinungsverschiedenheiten mit der kubanischen Regierung entschied er sich, keine Kunstschulen oder Regierungsinstitutionen in Kuba zu besuchen, da er eine größtenteils "autodidaktische" Ausbildung hatte. Aus diesen Gründen und dem Mangel an wirtschaftlichen Möglichkeiten für diejenigen, die nicht mit der Kommunistischen Partei Kubas (PCC) sympathisieren, beschloss und schaffte er es, 2014 nach Deutschland auszuwandern, wo er lebt und seinen Beruf wieder aufgenommen hat und mehr erschafft als zuvor. Dank der lang ersehnten Freiheit, die ihm Vorbild und Muse war.

 Rolando Isse González nació en el año de 1984, en la Habana, Cuba; dentro de una sociedad agobiada por la política y falta de libertad, circunstancias que marcarían su obra y pensamiento. A temprana edad descubrió el dibujo y a través de este, el arte, quedando fascinado por las posibilidades expresivas que brinda. El arte se convirtió en su refugio, creando su universo, embelleciendo su imaginación y entorno. El apocalíptico habitad agudizó su observación, adentrándose en el camino de la búsqueda de lo hermoso y ético, evadiendo la realidad que hace dura la vida cotidiana.  A pesar de las carencias materiales, cultivó su obra y depuró su técnica, tanto mediante aprendizaje personal como en talleres comunitarios y casas de culturas. La vida en Cuba lo formó de una manera violenta, experimentando momentos que solo se dan en sociedades roídas por las ideologías totalitarias. Aunque su trayectoria fue interrumpida en varias ocasiones por custiones inevitables en Cuba, cómo internados y servicio militar obligatorio, jamás se desvinculó del arte. Incursionó en otras actividades, cómo el deporte y la danza, pero siempre volviendo a las artes visuales, su gran amor. Estudió de manera informar cerámica y trabajó como ayudante en serigrafía y posteriormente cómo litógrafo, buscando cualquier excusa para crear. Se formó en su adolescencia al calor de los viejos libros que se podían conseguir muy raramente, donde aparecían Velázques y Rembrandt, grandes esculturas olmecas y casi toda la belleza que enmarca la historia del arte. Debido a su pensamiento político y desacuerdo con el gobierno Cubano decidió no vincularse a escuelas de arte o instituciones gubernamentales en Cuba teniendo una formación mayormente „autodidacta“. Por estas razones y la falta de posibilidades económicas para quienes no simpatizan con el Partido Comunista de Cuba (PCC), decide y logra emigrar a Alemania en 2014, donde vive y ha retomado su oficio, creando constantemente, ahora más que antes. Gracias a la libertad ansiada, la cual ha sido, su modelo y musa.
